On November 9th, Cais da Villa hosted another sold-out Wine Dinner. It was an evening that surprisingly combined the creations of Chef Daniel Gomes with wines from Niepoort and Quintas de Vila Garcia.
Once again, we were treated to the wines from our producers during the tasting and later at dinner, where the main objective is always to promote the names of the companies to everyone present.
Prepared by Chef Daniel Gomes, the menu consisted of various moments. To start the meal, the Chef suggested Tuna Tataki with black garlic, Asian vinaigrette, beetroot, hibiscus, sesame, and mango mousse as an appetizer. Regarding the meat dish, it featured confit veal cheek in red wine, sweet potato, chestnuts, and turnip greens. The fish dish suggestion was octopus tempura with beans and cabbage. To conclude the gastronomic experience in the best way possible, Chef proposed 72% chocolate, almond, and pear.
Guilherme Osório, Cais da Villa’s Sommelier, highlights the Wine Dinner as a way to energize the space and promote the producers, with the goal of each customer finding their own wine pairing.
Chef Daniel Gomes aims to present another gastronomic menu on November 30th to delight all customers, where the purpose is for the customer to find their perfect wine pairing.
