On 7 March, Cais da Villa hosted another Wine Dinner with a fantastic turnout. The evening was a surprising combination of Chef Daniel Gomes’ creations and the wines of Mafarrico and De Sousa Wines.

We were once again treated to the wines of our producers during the tasting and afterwards at the dinner, where the main objective is always to spread the name of the companies to everyone present.

Prepared by Chef. Daniel Gomes, the menu consisted of several moments. To start the meal, the chef suggested velvety crayfish cream as a starter. For the meat course, he prepared confit pork knuckle with browned potatoes, sprout crumbs and oven rice, and the fish course was corvina with garlic squid, pea purée and pumpkin gnocchi. To round off the gastronomic experience in the best possible way, the chef suggested mougatine ice cream with coffee parfait.

Guilherme Osório, Sommelier at Cais da Villa, highlights the Wine Dinner as a way of making the space more dynamic and boosting the producers, where the aim of the dinner is for each customer to make their own pairing.

Those present were also treated to a musical performance by Álvaro Martinho Lopes.
