CAISDAVILLA celebrated the harvest with a wine dinner, on Oct. 16, with four producers of Douro. Two of larger dimension, Lavradores de Feitoria and Rozès, and two independent, Pedro Garcias, who presents his wines Mapa, produced with his wife, Cristina Costa, and Alvaro Martinho Lopes, with his Mafarrico and Maquia, produced in partnership with Dirk Niepoort.
We started the meeting at the wine bar, tasting the wines of each producer, and we continued at the table, harmonizing the wines with the menu designed by the Chef Daniel Costa.
And we also brought to CAISDAVILLA traditional Portuguese music and songs of the harvests used in the Douro, by Alvaro Martinho Lopes and his band. This year that a great harvest is expected, the celebration had another joy.
